Here is my transcription of Chet Baker’s solo on Gershwin’s song Summertime. It is as lyrical as they come; every note has meaning. It would be worth your time to learn it!

Hi Jeff,
I’m a pedal steel player trying to get my reading chops up to speed and copping every transcription of standards I can find.
Which version of Chet’s Summertimes is your transcription from?
I’ve listened to a few on YouTube and haven’t found it.
Much appreciated.

Cool, I really appreciate what you guys add to a group. It’s an absolutely beautiful sounding instrument. I embedded the you tube video on the page. This transcription is for the solo only. I did not transcribe the melody. Check out the Stan Getz solo transcription I did as well for I want to be Happy. Also a really great solo but, its much longer and more demanding technically!
