Important Characteristics:
- is a Minor Pentatonic Scale with a lowered 5th.
- is used over the Half Diminished chord also known as minor7b5 chord.
Formula for Half Diminished Pentatonic Scale: 1 b3 4 b5 b7
For example:

C Eb F Gb Bb C (C Half Dim. Pentatonic)

* Anytime you see scales given in numbers or scale degrees(1 2 b3 4 5etc..) it is referring to their relation to Major Scale degrees. This is why you should know all the notes in all 12 Major Scales flawlessly.
