Here are two more Easy Guitar Chords:
*These are often referred to as Open Chords because they are in the open position on the neck and usually have one or more open strings in them.
In the previous lesson, Your First Chord, I told you exactly how and what order you should place your fingers down. Do this for every chord you learn and you you will get great results every time.
Here is the order of placement I suggest for forming an E Major Chord:
- Place tip of first finger on the 1st fret of the G string.
- Tip of third finger to 2nd fret of the D string. Close to fret but not on it.
- Tip of second finger to the 2nd fret of the A string. Snug up as close as it can get the third finger.
- Strum all 6 strings.
* Always stand your fingers tall and be conscious of maintaining a good left hand position. Pay also close attention to your placement order.

Notice that the A minor is the same exact shape as E Major but on a different set of strings.
Finger placement order:
- First finger, 1st fret on the B string.
- Third finger, 2nd fret, G string.
- Second finger, 2nd fret, D string.
- Strum the open A string down. Do not strum the Low E string.
* Always remember to place the tips of your fingers on the strings. Stand them tall.
When learning these easy guitar chords practice GRAB, STRUM, LET GO, REPEAT as explained in the previous lesson.
